Platense vs Patronato

After Leonardo Madelon’s departure, Platense showed improvements in their first game under interim boss Claudio Sponton. However, the 1-1 away draw at Estudiantes means they are on four league games without a win (drawing three and losing one since beating Banfield 4-2 away). Having earned 12 points in 13 matches, El Calamar are now occupying 23rd place in the relegation table. At home, Platense managed six points in as many matches, having not won any of the last three (two draws and one defeat).

Patronato extended their winless streak to seven league matches (three draws and four defeats) last Sunday, when the team showed a poor version and ended up losing 2-0 at Union Santa Fe. As a result of this negative run, Ivan Delfino’s men are now sitting in the 24th spot of the relegation table, having accumulated 14 points in 13 matches in the Liga Profesional. On the road, Patronato haven’t won any of the last six, registering two stalemates and four losses since beating Aldosivi in the league opener.

Even if Platense is not exactly the most reliable team, these odds for their home win are too high and I have to take them.
