Argentine Primera Division: Platense vs Independiente Odds for July 31, 2021

Platense vs Independiente

Platense collected a single point from the first nine available in the Liga Profesional following their 1-0 away defeat at direct relegation contenders Sarmiento last Wednesday, when they conceded the winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time. As a result, Leonardo Madelon’s men are now level with their last opponents in the points average table, only above Aldosivi. To make matters worse, El Calamar lost six of their eight home games since returning to the top flight, along with one win and one draw. First-choice goalkeeper Jorge De Olivera is suspended after seeing a red card at Sarmiento.

Independiente are now one of the Liga Profesional’s leaders (alongside San Lorenzo) as they remain unbeaten with seven points in three rounds thanks to their 2-0 home success over Patronato last Wednesday, with Andres Roa and Silvio Romero finding the back of the net. Furthermore, Julio Falcioni’s men took a big step towards to fight for one of the Copa Libertadores places. On the road, El Rojo have been unbeaten in their last four in league action, having won two and drawn two since losing to Racing Club 1-0 in the city derby in April.

I have to go here with Independiente to get another win and stay at the top of the league against this very irregular Platense.
