Argentine Primera Division: Platense vs Central Cordoba odds for February 04, 2024

Platense vs Central Cordoba

Platense had a rough afternoon last Wednesday and couldn’t stop Defensa y Justicia’s offensive power. The 3-0 away loss left them on a single point in group B after two Copa Liga Profesional rounds. El Calamar also made it five league matches without a win (three stalemates in regular time and two defeats). On a positive note, Platense are unbeaten in their last eight at Estadio Ciudad de Vicente Lopez, having won four and drawn four since losing to Huracan 1-0 in July.

CA Central Cordoba are finding trouble in the Copa Liga Profesional so far. Last Thursday, the team succumbed to a deserved 2-0 home defeat to Godoy Cruz following a terrible performance. As a result, Abel Balbo’s men are now the only team who haven’t yet earned any points this season (despite having played both matches at their own stadium). In fact, El Ferroviario are without a win in their last five matches in this competition, drawing one and losing four. On away turf, Central haven’t won any of the last four, with three stalemates and one loss since beating Sarmiento 1-0 in September.

Central Cordoba has looked quite poor so far and they are certainly one of the relegation candidates. Platense couldn’t do much against Defensa but at home against a relegation rival, it’s a must win for them and even though they couldn’t score a goal yet, this looks like a great spot for them to finally take their first win of the season.
