Platense vs Atletico Tucuman
Platense continue to play in good style under recently-appointed coach Martin Palermo. Last Sunday, the team secured a big 2-1 away success at Independiente with Nicolas Castro and Nicolas Servetto scoring. As a result, El Calamar made it four points in two rounds to stay one point above the relegation zone in the point-average table.
Atletico Tucuman played one of their worst matches in several months last Sunday and they ended up succumbing to a 2-0 home defeat to Talleres. As a result, El Decano remain pointless after two rounds in the Liga Profesional and also extended their winless streak to six league games, drawing two and losing four. Therefore, they are edging closer to the relegation zone again, holding a seven-point gap over the first drop spot in the points average table. I like this new Platense with new coach Martin Palermo already making them play at his style. Atletico is clearly not the team they were last season, they still can’t adjust to play without the important players they lost during the summer, so I’m going with the hosts here.
