Platense – Godoy Cruz

Platense continue to improve under recently-appointed coaches Favio Orsi and Sergio Gomez. In round 11, the team secured a valuable scoreless away draw at Newell’s Old Boys. That result means the team remain unbeaten in league action since the new bosses arrived, winning one and drawing three so far. Therefore, El Calamar made it 12 points and opened a seven-point gap over bottom-placed Tigre in the aggregate table. Platense also are on 12 games without defeat at their own stadium, with five victories and seven draws in that time.

Godoy Cruz put up a good fight on their visit to San Lorenzo in their last league game, but they ended up losing 1-0 away in a hard-fought match.
