Patronato vs Sarmiento
Patronato had a convincing debut last weekend, when beating direct relegation contenders Aldosivi 2-0 away thanks to goals from Sebastian Sosa Sanchez and Franco Leys. The victory placed them in the 23rd spot of the point-average rankings. Ivan Delfino’s men also made it three victories in their last four league games, having lost to Velez Sarsfield in that stretch. At their own stadium, El Patron won their last four matches in a row.
Sarmiento had a terrible debut in the Liga Profesional, losing 3-0 at home to Estudiantes in round one. In fact, the result dropped them down to the bottom spot in the relegation table. Mario Sciacqua’s men made it four league games without a win (with two draws and two defeats in that span). On away turf, the team haven’t claimed any successes in their last eight, having drawn five and lost three since beating B Nacional squad Deportivo Riestra 2-1 in December 2020.
Patronato not only has been very strong at home, but also they started the season with consecutive wins away from their stadium (in Copa Argentina and the 1st round of the league) so I’m betting on them again with this nice odds.
