Patronato vs Huracan
Patronato continue to show their skills before leaving the first division. Last time out, the team secured a 1-0 away success at Godoy Cruz even though coach Facundo Sava fielded a rotated XI thinking of the Copa Argentina semi-finals (next Wednesday). El Patron made it two consecutive victories in league action to accumulate 37 points in the Liga Profesional, a remarkable campaign that still won’t be enough to avoid relegation.
Huracan continue to live an excellent moment in the league. Last Tuesday, the team beat Platense 2-0 at home thanks to goals from Franco Cristaldo and Matias Coccaro to make it four Liga Profesional matches unbeaten (three victories and one draw). Therefore, El Globo climbed into third spot in the league table on 47 points (already out of the fight for the title) and are now occupying one of the Copa Libertadores places in the aggregate table and they will secure their ticket if winning here.
Patronato will field an alternative XI here as most of the usual starters will rest ahead of next Wednesday’s Copa Argentina semi-final game against Boca Juniors so Huracan should be able to get the win they need to get a Copa Libertadores spot.
