Patronato had a sorry start in the Copa Liga Profesional following a 3-0 away defeat at Gimnasia LP. It was the third consecutive loss in top-flight action for Gustavo Alvarez’s men. Speaking of home games, El Patron lost their last one against San Lorenzo 3-1 in March, which stopped a three-match unbeaten run at their own stadium, with two victories and one draw. Patronato striker Junior Arias is ready to make his debut after arriving from Banfield as he has regained his fitness following a Covid-19 infection.
Huracan earned a valuable point on their visit to Velez Sarsfield last Saturday when drawing 1-1 in an entertaining game. Israel Damonte’s men have in fact suffered a single loss in their last four competitive games, winning two and drawing one. However, they usually struggle on their travels: El Globo managed a single win in their last nine domestic games on the road, along with three draws and five losses. The regulars that started at Velez Sarsfield remain fit to play. The XI would be repeated on Friday.
Patronato is arguably the worst team in the league since some time ago and the 0-3 vs Gimnasia last week shows that nothing has changed. Huracan showed good performances during the preseason friendlies and played a decent game at Velez last week, so I think they should be able to get the 3 points here.
