Patronato vs Godoy Cruz
Patronato succumbed to a heartbreaking away defeat at Huracan last Tuesday, when they lost 1-0 after conceding with just six minutes to go. As a result, the side dropped them down to the bottom spot of the relegation table, two points behind Aldosivi and Godoy Cruz. El Patron remain on 23 points in the league table, having won only two of their last 16 matches in this competition (along with six draws and eight losses). On a positive note, Patronato are on three matches unbeaten at their own stadium, with two wins and one draw in that spell.
Godoy Cruz showed a worrying version last time out and ended up losing 3-1 to Estudiantes at home despite having taken the first lead. It was their fourth consecutive game without a win in league action (one draw and three losses). As a result, El Tomba remain on 27 points in the Liga Profesional and are now level with Aldosivi in the relegation table, only above Patronato (who are just two points behind them). On away turf, Godoy Cruz also are on four winless games, having drawn two and lost two since beating Independiente in September. Â
Both have been defending terribly lately and with nothing to play for in this season I expect this to be an open game.
