Patronato vs Aldosivi

After seven rounds in the Copa Liga Profesional, Patronato are the only team who remain pointless. Last time out, they put up a good fight at Lanus but ended up losing 4-2 in a thrilling game. Their seventh consecutive defeat means the team are bottom in group B and occupy the penultimate spot in the points-average table. However, coach Ivan Delfino stays at the club at least one more week. Furthermore, Patronato are winless in their last nine home matches in the top flight, having drawn three and lost six in the process.

Aldosivi continue to produce an irregular campaign under boss Fernando Gago. Last Saturday, they had to settle for a 1-1 home draw against Banfield, conceding the equaliser in the 84th minute. Having won only one of the last four in league action (one draw and two defeats), El Tiburon are now on eight points in group A, which places them in 22nd spot in the points average table. Aldosivi grabbed four points from nine on offer on away turf, having drawn at Racing Club, lost at Colon and won at San Lorenzo.

Patronato will get points as this terrible run sooner than later has to end, and at home against the very irregular Aldosivi looks like a good opportunity for them.
