Patronato – Rosario Central

Patronato displayed a great effort in their last game but they weren’t able to secure points on their visit to Racing Club as the team ended up losing 1-0. Facundo Sava’s men are performing quite well in the Liga Profesional, accumulating 27 points, but they won only one of their last six games (three draws and two defeats). That negative run keeps them bottom in the relegation table and eight points behind the first safe place. At home, Patronato have been unbeaten in their last six matches, winning four and drawing two.

Rosario Central continue finding trouble in the league. Last Thursday, the team registered a 1-1 home draw against Estudiantes in a hard-fought game. As a result, Carlos Tevez’s men claimed a single success across their last six league games, drawing three and losing two in that spell, which means they accumulated 23 points in 19 rounds. Following this campaign, El Canalla need to improve in order to avoid relegation threats in 2023. On away turf, Central are on four away games without a win (two draws and two losses).

Patronato needs almost a miracle to avoid relegation but if there’s a team that deserves it based on what they did this season, it has to be them. They will fight until the end, and for this they definitely need to win their home games against weaker teams.
