Patronato succumbed to an unlucky 1-0 away defeat at Newell’s Old Boys last Friday in an intense game. As a result, the team suffered their third loss across the last four league games, having managed a single win in that time. As a result, El Patron remain on seven points and continue occupying the bottom place in the relegation table, 11 points from safety. La Academia are leaders in group A on 24 points and will secure their ticket to the playoffs with six from 12 in the last four rounds of the group stage. On away turf, Racing claimed three victories and two draws in domestic action this term. Coach Fernando Gago has not confirmed the XI, but a big rotation is expected here.

Patronato might not be exactly a reliable team, but Racing’s massive winning run will need to end at some point and considering a draw is a good enough result for them here and that they will rest many starters, I’ll go with the hosts not to lose.
