Newell’s – Union

Newell’s Old Boys showed a disappointing performance in their last league game and settled for a scoreless away draw at relegation candidates Sarmiento in a boring match. As a result, La Lepra are now on 27 points, dropping out of the Copa Sudamericana places despite having lost only one of their last six games in this competition, along with two triumphs and three stalemates. Union Santa Fe continue to improve game after game under recently-appointed coach Sebastian Mendez. Union is finally improving, they are confident and I think they should be able to get something from this game that should be quite even.
