Lanus vs Huracan
Lanus’ away game at Union Santa Fe, originally scheduled for last Sunday’s night, was finally postponed due to weather reasons. Therefore, El Granate’s last match was a 2-1 home success over Sarmiento two weeks ago. That result allowed them to make it four league matches unbeaten (two victories and two draws). Therefore, Frank Kudelka’s men are on 22 points in the Liga Profesional table, occupying eight place despite holding one game in hand. At home, Lanus grabbed seven points from the last nine on offer as a product of two wins and one draw. Winger Pedro De la Vega is expected to be available after overcoming dengue.
Huracan finally managed to take a breather in the league. In round 14, the team reversed the score to beat Sarandi Arsenal 2-1 at home thanks to goals from Matias Coccaro and Santiago Hezze. As a result, El Globo put an end to a nine-match winless streak of three draws and six defeats in this competition. Therefore, they made it 16 points in 14 rounds, still an irregular campaign for them. On a sorry note, Huracan are on six away games without a win in domestic action (two draws and four losses). On Tuesday 2, Huracan drew 1-1 at home against Danubio from Uruguay in a Copa Sudamericana group game.
Lanus has been the more regular team of these two, they’ve been solid at home while Huracan has been terrible away and they could be tired after their midweek game, so I’m going with the hosts here.
