Lanus vs Boca
Lanus continue getting worse match after match. Last Friday, the side experienced another rough day and succumbed to a 2-0 away defeat at newly-promoted Barracas Central. El Granate registered their tenth defeat across the last 14 league games (winning only one and drawing three in that spell). They remain bottom in the league table on 11 points and also occupy the last place in the aggregate table. At home, Lanus managed one win in their last six (along with two draws and three losses).
Boca Juniors celebrated a deserved 1-0 home success over River Plate in the Superclasico thanks to a strike from Dario Benedetto in the 65th minute. Hugo Ibarra’s men made it seven league matches without defeat (winning five and drawing two in that spell) to accumulate 32 points in the Liga Profesional, which places them only two behind leaders Atletico Tucuman with nine rounds to go. On away turf, El Xeneize grabbed seven points from the last nine on offer as a product of two victories and one draw.
I have to trust Boca again here, their morale is sky high after winning the Superclasico and they should beat this terrible Lanus.
