Lanus vs Atletico Tucuman
After two consecutive successes to start this term, Lanus suffered a heartbreaking 3-2 away defeat to Union Santa Fe after conceding in stoppage time. That result put an end to their four-match unbeaten run of one draw and three straight victories in league action and dropped them down to third spot in group B on six points. At home, El Granate took ten points from the last 12 on offer in domestic competitions. All regulars are at Luis Zubeldia’s disposal for Saturday.
Atletico Tucuman’s home match against Huracan was abandoned due to heavy rain last Monday night with 18 minutes to go, when the score was 1-1. As a result, the team remain with a single point in two games and having won only one of their last seven league matches (drawing two and losing four). Happily, El Decano are on six away matches without defeat in domestic action, having won four and drawn two since losing to Gimnasia LP in February 2020. Atletico Tucuman players Cristian Erbes and Marcelo Ortiz were sent off against Huracan last Monday and are suspended. Â
There should be goals here as usual with Lanus playing at home and specially with this Atletico missing a could of important defensive players.
