Lanus – Racing

Lanus’ crisis continue to get deeper as the season progresses. Last Thursday, the team suffered a deserved 1-0 home defeat to relegation candidates Patronato following another terrible performance. Therefore, El Granate are now on three league defeats in a row and remain on 20 points in 25 games in the Liga Profesional, also occupying the bottom spot in the 2022 aggregate table.

Racing Club want to keep fighting for the league title. On Friday, the team secured a massive 2-0 away success at Colon thanks to goals from Johan Carbonero and Enzo Copetti. La Academia made it 47 points in the Liga Profesional, trailing leaders Boca Juniors by one at the top of the league table after seven matches unbeaten in this competition (six victories and one draw). Furthermore, Racing are on three without defeat on the road, having grabbed seven points from nine on offer in that spell. Playmaker Emiliano Vecchio succumbed to a knee injury at Colon and will miss out on Tuesday.

Lanus has been terrible lately and Racing must win here after Boca’s defeat last Sunday, but I’m going with the OVER as I’m not sure if Racing will be able to handle the pressure.
