Lanus showed improvements on their visit to Belgrano last time out, but they were ineffective up front and ended up settling for a scoreless away stalemate. That result means El Granate are on three league games without a win (one draw and two defeats). Frank Kudelka’s men accumulate 13 points in seven rounds, which places them three behind leaders San Lorenzo in the Liga Profesional table. At home, Lanus took six points from nine available so far after registering two wins and one loss.

Argentinos Juniors rescued a home point in round seven following a 1-1 draw against Sarandi Arsenal at their own stadium thanks to a penalty netted by Gabriel Avalos in the seventh minute of stoppage time. El Bicho continue performing irregularly in the 2023 Liga Profesional, having accumulated ten points as a product of three wins, one draw and three losses. However, they collected seven from the last 12 on offer, winning two, drawing one and losing one.

They both need to win or they could be left behind in the standings. Lanus will have striker Leandro Diaz back from injury, so I’m going here with the OVER in this game between two solid attacking teams.
