San Lorenzo took a big breather in the context of a hectic season last Saturday, when beating Banfield 2-1 at home thanks to a brace netted by Iker Muniain. El Ciclon made it three victories across their last five league games, drawing one and losing one in that time, which allows them to accumulate 17 points in the Liga Profesional (with one game in hand) and to open a ten-point over the relegation spot in the aggregate table. San Lorenzo managed eight points from the last 15 available on away turf as a product of two victories, two stalemates and one defeat. Jhojan Romana is suspended for Saturday after reaching the yellow-card limit.
San Lorenzo looked good in last week’s win with Iker Munianin scoring his first goals. They are in much better mood and should be able to at least avoid a defeat against this Instituto that has been struggling lately.
