Instituto – Racing

Instituto had nothing to do against Rosario Central’s offensive power and succumbed to a devastating 4-1 away defeat in round 19. Therefore, La Gloria are now on three league matches without a win, drawing one and losing two in that time. They remain on 21 points in 19 rounds in the Liga Profesional, which dropped them into the relegation zone in the point-average table for the first time since the season opener. As a result, coach Lucas Bovaglio left the club. At home, Instituto lost only one of their last five matches, alongside two victories and two draws.

Racing Club finally managed to return to winning ways in league action last time out, when they secured a deserved 2-0 home success over Banfield through goals from Gabriel Hauche and Gabriel Rojas. That victory allowed them to break an eight-match winless streak of two draws and six defeats in this competition as La Academia accumulated 22 points in the Liga Profesional table (holding one game in hand). However, Fernando Gago’s men remain without a win in their last five on the road in domestic action, having drawn two and lost three.

Racing continue being awful, they got a good result in the last game but they were playing at home against the terrible Banfield, so even though Instituto will have an interim coach I think this odds on the hosts are too big to pass.
