Instituto – Atletico Tucuman

Instituto experienced a disappointing debut last Thursday, settling for their first point in group A following a scoreless stalemate against newcomers Deportivo Riestra at home. La Gloria made it four league matches without defeat after that result, but they won only one of those and drew the other three. In fact, Diego Dabove’s men have been struggling at home lately: they are winless in the last five, with four stalemates and one loss.

Atletico Tucuman showed an interesting version in the league opener and saved an important point following a 1-1 home draw against defending champions Rosario Central, with Mateo Coronel netting the equaliser in the 80th minute. On a sorry note, El Decano managed a single victory across their last five league games, along with one draw and three losses. Atletico won 2-1 at Gimnasia LP in their last away match to break a six-game winless streak of three draws and three defeats on the road. The full squad is available to visit Instituto on Monday.

Instituto looked really poor at home in the 1st game despite playing against the debutants Deportivo Riestra and with very little time to recover I can’t see how they will be any better so I’ll go here with Atletico Tucuman to avoid a defeat after a decent performance in the 1st round against the defending champions Rosario Central.
