Independiente vs River

After a little slump, River Plate returned to winning ways last Wednesday, when they showed a solid performance to claim a good 2-0 home success over newcomers Independiente Rivadavia. Following that victory, El Millonario are now sharing the top of the Copa Liga Profesional group A table alongside Independiente, Instituto and Argentinos Juniors on 17 points. Martin Demichelis’ men extended their unbeaten streak to 12 matches (winning five and drawing seven in regular time). On away turf, River are without defeat in 2024, with two victories and two draws. All regulars are available to visit Independiente on Saturday.
This is a big derby and one neither wants to lose as they are both tied at the top of Group A. River has they best attack in the league with 17 goals scored, an average of almost 2 per game but Independiente at home will definitely go for the 3 points especially considering how frustrating the 2-2 draw vs Barracas was, so I definitely like this odds to see at least 2 goals here.
