Argentine Primera Division: Independiente Rivadavia vs Huracan odds for February 03, 2024

Independiente Rivadavia vs Huracan

Newly-promoted side Independiente Rivadavia showed their best skills last Tuesday, securing a massive 3-2 away success at Gimnasia LP. The team took their first three points in the top flight and also made it five victories across their last eight league games, drawing two and losing one in that time. La Lepra lost 1-0 to Independiente in their last home match after two consecutive wins as the hosting side. Ezequiel Ham, involved in the AFC Cup with Syria’s national squad, is the only absentee for Saturday. Coach Rodolfo De Paoli would repeat the XI.

After a promising debut, Huracan took a step back last Tuesday, when they lost 2-1 to Talleres in an entertaining match, playing as the hosting side at Argentinos Juniors. El Globo remain on three points after two rounds, out of the playoff spots in group A, and also stopped an unbeaten streak of seven matches in league action (five victories and two stalemates). On a positive note, Huracan have been strong on the road lately, winning their last four away matches. Winger Walter Mazzantti will miss out on Saturday due to a knee injury.

Huracan looked poor midweek vs Talleres and they have a tough trip to Mendoza where the hosts will try to get their first points at home. Their morale is for sure much better after their first win in the top flight after more than 40 years and they will now try to continue on this path at home against a Huracan that won’t have Walter Mazzanti, one of their best strikers and already didn’t have their top scorer of the last few years, Matias Coccaro, who left during the summer to play in the MLS.
