Independiente – Huracan

Independiente continue producing a poor campaign. Last time out, the team registered a 1-1 away draw at Lanus thanks to a goal from Leandro Benegas in the 83rd minute. The team won only one of their last nine league matches, along with two stalemates and six defeats. El Rojo accumulated 12 points in the Liga Profesional and are occupying the 25th place in the aggregate table, an unacceptable campaign for one of the Argentinian big five. At home, Independiente managed a single point from the last 12 on offer since beating Estudiantes in round four.

Huracan made it two consecutive victories in the Liga Profesional last Friday, when they played in good style to thrash Sarmiento 4-1 at home. El Globo are improving game after game and their fans could dream of fighting for the title: having suffered a single loss across the last 12 league matches (six wins and five draws), Diego Dabove’s men are on 23 points in this competition, five behind leaders. This good performance also places them into the Copa Sudamericana zone in the aggregate table. On away turf, Huracan are on six matches unbeaten, winning three and drawing three.

Can’t see why such a low totals line between two teams that will see a draw as a useless result and that can score because their best strength is their attack.
