Huracan vs Rosario Central
Huracan put an end to a six-match winless streak of three draws and three losses in league action last Monday, when they beat Aldosivi 2-0 away thanks to a brace from Matias Coccaro. Therefore, the team made it 15 points in the Copa Liga Profesional, five behind the last qualifying spot in group B and hold a tiny chance of advancing (they need to win the two remaining games and wait for other results).
Rosario Central played their best match of the season and clinched their first victory under coach Leandro Somoza last time out, when beating Independiente 3-0 at home. In fact, the team broke a six-match winless streak of one draw and five defeats. As a result, they accumulated 11 points, but that’s not yet enough to leave the bottom spot of the group B table (alongside Lanus and Sarandi Arsenal at the moment). On a sorry note, El Canalla are on three consecutive defeats on away turf, having lost to Tigre, Aldosivi and Lanus in that stretch.
Huracan wins or they are eliminated, and this game against a Rosario Central without their all time top scorer Marco Ruben looks like a good spot for them to continue alive in the tournament.
