Huracan vs Newell’s
Huracan secured an important point on their visit to Independiente last Tuesday following a 1-1 draw after trailing first. Diego Dabove’s men made it three Liga Profesional matches without defeat (two victories and one stalemate) to accumulate 24 points in this competition (five behind leaders), a very good campaign which gives them a spot in the 2023 Copa Sudamericana for now. At home, Huracan managed 11 points from 18 available so far, winning three, drawing two and losing one.
Newell’s Old Boys finally managed to stop their eight-game winless streak of four draws and four defeats last Wednesday, when they beat Lanus 2-0 following an improved performance. As a result, Javier Sanguinetti’s men made it 20 points in 14 matches in the Liga Profesional, which keeps them into one of the Copa Sudamericana places in the 2022 aggregate table.
I’m still not convinced by this poor Newell’s so I’m going with the hosts here to get the 3 points.
