Huracan vs Independiente
Huracan registered their seventh stalemate in 11 rounds in the Liga Profesional last Monday, when drawing 0-0 away at Sarmiento. Frank Kudelka are now on six league matches without defeat, but only one of those was a win. As a result, the team accumulated 13 points so far, which means they have only one team below them in the relegation table (as well as their last opponents and Platense).
Independiente produced a poor performance in their last league game, which resulted in a 1-0 home defeat to Lanus. As a result, Julio Falcioni’s men won only one of their last five league matches (drawing two and losing two) and they remain on 19 points in the Liga Profesional and are trailing their last opponents (who are leaders alongside Talleres) by four, which keeps them out of the Copa Libertadores spots in the 2021 aggregate table. On away turf, El Rojo managed eight points from 15 on offer after registering two victories, two draws and one defeat.
Despite the latest results, Independiente is the clear better team here and I expect them to win and climb again to the top places of the league.
