Huracan vs Belgrano
Huracan showed a great display of effort to save a massive point last weekend, when drawing 1-1 away at River Plate with Rodrigo Echeverria scoring. El Globo remain as Liga Profesional table toppers on 20 points, tied with Racing. In fact, Frank Kudelka’s men extended their unbeaten streak to 13 league matches, with seven victories and six stalemates in that time. At home, Huracan haven’t lost any of the last 11, winning six and drawing five.
Belgrano played a good game last weekend, when they secured a valuable 1-1 home stalemate against Union Santa Fe (one of the best teams in the league at the moment) through Matias Suarez’s equaliser in the 93rd minute of the game. As a result, El Pirata succumbed to a single defeat across their last eight Liga Profesional matches (along with four victories and three stalemates in that time), which allows them to make it 16 points in this competition (still far away from the continental spots in the aggregate table). On a sorry note, Belgrano managed just two points across their last four away matches in domestic action.
Belgrano are coming from a midweek defeat at Brazil in Copa Sudamericana and they have to play the return leg next Thursday so they will rest some starters here and that should give Huracan the chance to get a win and re-take the 1st place of the league.
