Huracan vs Banfield
Huracan left very good impressions on their visit to Boca Juniors last Monday, when they wasted several goalscoring chances and ended up drawing 0-0 away. Diego Dabove’s men are now on nine league matches unbeaten (four victories and five stalemates). Therefore, they accumulated 34 points in the league table, which places them four points behind leaders Atletico Tucuman and into the Copa Sudamericana zone in the aggregate table. Huracan grabbed ten points from the last 12 on offer at home, winning three and drawing one.
Banfield experienced a rough night last Sunday and succumbed to a devastating 2-1 home defeat to Lanus in a heated derby. That defeat also stopped their three-game unbeaten streak of two victories and one draw and El Taladro remain on 25 points after 20 matches in the Liga Profesional, an irregular campaign that is not yet enough to climb into one of the Copa Sudamericana spots in the aggregate table.
Banfield lost the derby at home vs Lanus and I don’t think they can recover this fast when they visit a Huracan that must win to keep their championship chances alive.
