Huracan returned to their poor form last Monday, when they succumbed to an unexpected 2-0 away defeat to Instituto under interim boss Walter Coyette. El Globo are going through a disappointing campaign: it’s been five losses across the last eight league games (along with one victory and two draws). The side remain on eight points in group A, already out of the fight for a ticket to the playoffs. Huracan secured five points in four matches as the hosting side this term, winning one, drawing two and losing one. New boss Frank Kudelka will start his third spell at the club on Sunday.
Argentinos Juniors returned to winning ways last Wednesday, showing an interesting version to beat Gimnasia LP 2-0 at home thanks to goals from Luciano Gondou and Alan Lescano. That result represented their third victory across the last four league matches (along with a single defeat) and El Bicho became one of the group A leaders (alongside River Plate, Independiente and Instituto) on 17 points. On a sorry note, Argentinos are without a win in their last nine away games, having drawn four and lost five in that time.
Argentinos has a chance to become the only leaders of Group A with a win after the Saturday results, and they should be able to get it against this poor and irregular Huracan that will have the debut of the same coach that failed at the club twice in the last few years.
