Huracan – Barracas Central
Huracán were unable to take advantage of Aldosivi’s deep crisis on Monday afternoon and had to settle for a dull goalless draw in Mar del Plata. Barracas Central confirmed their excellent run of form on Monday afternoon, delivering a very strong performance to defeat Atlético Tucumán 2–1 at home with goals from Gonzalo Maroni and Lucas Gamba. With that result, El Guapo extended their unbeaten league run to four matches —three wins and one draw— and moved into the playoff places in Group B with 15 points. Barracas had also beaten Independiente Rivadavia 2–1 in the previous round, ending a negative streak of four away matches without a win —two draws and two defeats—.
Huracan won’t have two key players: goalkeeper Galindez and their top scorer Jordy Caicedo who scored 5 of their 9 goals, so I expect this Barracas to hold and get at least a draw.
