Godoy Cruz vs Huracan
Godoy Cruz are going through a little slump at the moment. Last time out, the team couldn’t hold onto their lead and succumbed to a 3-1 away defeat to Union Santa Fe. As a result, El Tomba are on four league games without a win, drawing three and losing one in that time. Following that streak, they remain on 18 points in the Liga Profesional (with one game in hand), which prevents them from climbing into the Copa Libertadores’ zone in the aggregate rankings. At home, Godoy Cruz are unbeaten in the last six, with three victories and three stalemates in that spell. Right back Lucas Arce returns from suspension on Saturday.
Huracan returned to winning ways last Sunday following an enjoyable performance: they managed an easy 3-0 home success over Lanus. As a result, El Globo put an end to a three-match winless streak of one draw and two defeats in league action to make it 27 points in the Liga Profesional, six behind leaders Velez Sarsfield. In fact, Frank Kudelka’s men return into one of the Copa Sudamericana spots in the aggregate table. On a sorry note, Huracan managed just two points across the last nine on offer as the visiting side.
Huracan won last week against a Lanus full of subs, but I’m still not convinced by them and at these odds I have to trust the hosts who have been strong at home lately.
