Gimnasia vs Union
Union Santa Fe suffered a huge blow in their fight to clinch a ticket to the playoffs last Tuesday, when they lost 2-1 at home to San Lorenzo. Following their second consecutive defeat in this competition (and the third across the last five league games, along with one win and one draw), El Tatengue remain on 17 points, which places them out of the qualifying zone in group A. Furthermore, Gustavo Munua’s men are on six away matches without a win in league action, having drawn two and lost four since beating Sarandi Arsenal in November.
They both have little chances of getting a playoff spot and must win here, Union is overall a better team but they have to be more tired after so many games in a short period of time due to their participation in Copa Sudamericana, so I like the hosts to get their 2nd win in a row.
