Gimnasia – Argentinos Jrs

Gimnasia LP are finding trouble at the moment. Last Friday, the team succumbed to their second consecutive defeat after losing 3-2 away at Defensa y Justicia to remain on four points in as many games in the Copa Liga Profesional. In fact, El Lobo managed a single victory in their last seven league games, drawing three and losing three.

Argentinos Juniors registered an unlucky 1-1 home draw against San Lorenzo after dominating the whole game. Following that result, Gabriel Milito’s men wasted the chance of becoming group A leaders and are now sitting in fifth place on seven points, trailing Defensa y Justicia (who occupy the last playoff berth) by goals scored.

Argentinos was very unlucky not to beat San Lorenzo last week, but I expect them to rebound here and get a win after two poor results.
