Defensa y Justicia vs Patronato
Coach Sebastian Beccacece’s third spell in charge of Defensa y Justicia didn’t go the way he would have wanted. His team showed a deflated performance and ended up losing 2-1 at Lanus last Saturday. That means El Halcon earned three points in two rounds this season and have claimed a single victory in their last four domestic matches, drawing one and losing two of those. On a positive note, Defensa are on four home games without defeat in top flight action, having won three at their own stadium and drawn one at Sarandi Arsenal.
Patronato are yet to earn points in two rounds following their 1-0 home defeat to Independiente in an uneventful game last Sunday. The team celebrated only one success in their last 15 top-flight games, drawing three and losing 11. On away turf, Patronato won one of the last 18, along with five draws and 12 losses. Patronato right midfielder Gabriel Gudino had to leave the pitch injured against Independiente and will miss out.
Can’t see the very poor Patronato getting something from the Copa Sudamericana champions, Defensa y Justicia, so I’m going with the home win.
