Defensa y Justicia vs Estudiantes
Defensa y Justicia secured a valuable point on their visit to San Lorenzo last Monday following a scoreless away draw, taking into account their poor performance in the game. El Halcon continue to produce an excellent campaign, accumulating 28 points after five league games unbeaten (four victories and one stalemate), which places them in third spot of the Liga rankings. Furthermore, Defensa won the last two at their own stadium in this competition (over Instituto 1-0 and Colon 2-0).
Estudiantes continue to improve game after game under boss Eduardo Dominguez. Last Sunday, the team played in good style to beat Velez Sarsfield 2-0 at home, with Gaston Benedetti finding the back of the net twice. El Pincha remain sitting into fifth spot of the Liga Profesional table on 27 points after seven matches unbeaten in this competition (six victories and one draw). Furthermore, Estudiantes also are on three league wins in a row on away turf (having beaten Independiente, Boca Juniors and Platense). Striker Mauro Boselli continues to recover from a muscle problem and is still unavailable.
Estudiantes are in great form but so is Defensa. They are in 3rd place, with a nice unbeaten run, so these odds on them are too high to pass.
