Defensa y Justicia vs Arsenal
Defensa y Justicia seem to be improving after a rough start. Last Monday, they secured a massive 2-1 away success at Newell’s Old Boys thanks to goals from Nicolas Fernandez and Manuel Duarte. Therefore, they made it two wins in a row (and three across the last four league games, along with one loss) to accumulate 13 points in the Liga Profesional, holding onto their Copa Sudamericana spot in the aggregate table. At home, El Halcon are on eight league matches unbeaten (three victories and five draws since April 2nd, when losing to River Plate 2-1).
Sarandi Arsenal played their worst game in this competition last Tuesday and succumbed to a 3-0 home defeat to Rosario Central. That result broke their eight-match unbeaten streak of two wins and six draws and the team are now on three without a win in the Liga Profesional. Having grabbed 12 points in ten rounds so far, El Viaducto stay six points away from the relegation zone in the respective table.
I like this improved Defensa and I expect them to continue on this good run with another home win.
