Defensa y Justicia put up a good fight at Boca Juniors last Tuesday, when they drew 0-0 in an entertaining game. With 14 points in the league table and hovering in the bottom places of the aggregate rankings, El Halcon don’t seem to have any big aims left this season, but they hold a six-match unbeaten run in league action at the moment: two wins and four draws since losing to Aldosivi in round five. Banfield are struggling at the moment. Last Wednesday, the team wasted a 1-0 lead and ended up losing 2-1 to Rosario Central at home. As a result, they are now winless in the last eight league matches (four draws and four defeats). El Taladro are sitting in the penultimate spot of the Liga Profesional’s table on nine points, having claimed a single victory in 11 matches. On away turf, they haven’t won any of the last four, registering three stalemates and one loss since beating Union Santa Fe in round three.

Even if Defensa is not as solid as they were not long ago, they are better than this very poor Banfield and should beat them at their stadium.
