Argentine Primera Division: Colon vs Sarmiento odds for February 10, 2023

Colon vs Sarmiento

Colon keeps finding trouble to show their best version like last year. On Sunday, the team returned home empty-handed after a 1-0 away defeat at Godoy Cruz in an uneventful game. El Sabalero are sharing the bottom spot of the Liga Profesional table without any points after two rounds and they also made it five league matches without a win (one draw and four losses). Furthermore, Marcelo Saralegui’s men are on three consecutive defeats at their own stadium since beating Patronato 1-0 in October.

Sarmiento are still winless in the Liga Profesional following their 5-3 home defeat to Barracas Central in a controversial match last Saturday. Following that result, Israel Damonte’s men collected a single point in two rounds and also made it eight league encounters without a win (drawing five and losing three), which dropped them down to the relegation zone, one point behind the last safe spot in that table, occupied by Platense. On a positive note, Sarmiento are on five matches unbeaten on away turf, even though only one of those was a win, along with four draws.

Colon has been just awful so far this season and it’s not a surprise considering they’ve lost important players. Today they also won’t have their best striker, Ramon Abila, and left back Rafael Delgado, so I expect Sarmiento to recover from last week’s 3-5 defeat and take something from this game.
