Colon vs Boca
Colon returned to their usual irregularity on Sunday, when they showed a poor version and succumbed to a 1-0 away defeat at newly-promoted side Barracas Central under interim boss Adrian Marini. El Sabalero managed a single victory across their last six league matches, drawing two and losing three in that spell. With only 18 points in 16 matches in the Liga Profesional, the team are running out of chances to fight for a continental ticket. At home, Colon collected 12 points from 24 on offer following three victories, three draws and two losses.
Boca Juniors young winger Luca Langoni netted a brace in the last 15 minutes of the game to give his team a massive 2-1 home success over league leaders Atletico Tucuman after conceding first. As a result, the defending champions extended their unbeaten streak to five Liga Profesional matches (three victories and two draws) to accumulate 26 points, only six behind the table toppers with 11 rounds to go.
Boca will miss their best player, winger Sebastian Villa, probably for the rest of the tournament due to a knee injury and will also have other missings for this game. They are one week away from the Superclasico against River so I can’t imagine them taking risks and although Colon has been irregular as well, I’ll go with them not to lose.
