Colon vs Barracas Central
Colon climbed into second place in group B thanks to their 2-0 away victory at CA Central Cordoba last Tuesday with Luis Rodriguez and Facundo Garces scoring. The team collected seven points from nine available since coach Julio Falcioni’s arrival to occupy one of the qualifying places. Colon won eight of their last 12 home matches, drawing three and losing one in that time.
Barracas Central continue finding a lot of trouble adapting to the first division. Last Monday, the team suffered a devastating 2-0 home defeat to Tigre, playing as hosts at Huracan. It was their third defeat in as many matches in the Copa Liga Profesional: El Guapo remain pointless and, of course, occupy the bottom place in the relegation table. Coach Rodolfo De Paoli resigned right after the last game. Barracas, in fact, won only one of their last seven competitive matches, drawing two in regular time and losing four.
Should be an easy win for this solid Colon against a very poor Barracas that lost their coach and are having a hard time getting used to the top division.
