Colon continue finding trouble in the league. Last Sunday, the team showed a poor performance and succumbed to a deserved 2-0 away defeat at Talleres. That result means El Sabalero are now on five matches without a win in this competition, having drawn one and lost four in the process. Therefore, they remain on 19 points in the Liga Profesional, which leaves them without any significant goals for the rest of the season. At home, Colon won only one of their last six league matches, drawing three and losing two. Star player Facundo Farias suffered a knee injury at Talleres and will miss out here. Ramon Abila and Rafael Delgado have collected the yellow-card limit and are now suspended.
Argentinos Juniors are also finding trouble at the moment. Last time out, they suffered a deserved 2-1 home defeat to league leaders Atletico Tucuman which left them out of the fight for the league title. El Bicho lost four of their last six matches in this competition (along with one victory and one draw) and remain on 30 points, which is still a decent campaign. In fact, it places them five points behind the last Copa Libertadores berth in the 2022 aggregate table.
Colon is in crisis, they have nothing to play for and will miss 3 very important players so I have to go with Argentinos here to get the win they need to get closer to the Copa Libertadores spots.
