Colon – Aldosivi

Coach Sergio Rondina started life at Colon with a worthy performance: his team secured a valuable 0-0 away draw at Gimnasia LP (one of the best teams in the league at the moment). The new man in charge has a lot of work to do as the side won only one of the last five league games (drawing one and losing three). With only nine points in the Liga Profesional, El Sabalero remain far away from the continental spots in the aggregate table. At home, Colon secured seven of those points, having won two, drawn one and lost one in this competition. Star player Facundo Farias returns from suspension.

Last Friday, Aldosivi played their worst game under recently-appointed coach Leandro Somoza and suffered a deserved 1-0 home defeat to Atletico Tucuman. That result represented El Tiburon’s second consecutive loss in league action and they remain bottom in the Liga Profesional table, accumulating only four points in eight games as a product of one victory, one draw and six losses.

With Farias back Colon shouldn’t have a problem to beat this very poor Aldosivi that looks destined to get relegated at the end of this year.
