Central Cordoba vs Racing Club
CA Central Cordoba continue edging closer to the relegation zone. Last time out, the team succumbed to a 2-0 away defeat at Platense, which represented their fourth consecutive game without a win in league action (one draw and three defeats). El Ferroviario accumulated only eight points in nine rounds in the Liga Profesional, which places them only one point above the first relegation berth in the respective table, occupied by Aldosivi. To make matters worse, Central are on three home losses in a row since beating Boca Juniors 1-0 in round two.
Racing Club fans will have felt frustrated as the team showed a poor version last Tuesday and they drew 1-1 at home against Sarandi Arsenal. Even though La Academia have been unbeaten in their last five league games (two wins and three draws), they are now on 15 points in the Liga Profesional, trailing leaders by four after nine rounds. On a positive note, Fernando Gago’s men remain at the top of the 2022 aggregate table, qualifying for the Copa Libertadores so far.
Central Cordoba with a new coach and Racing without their best defender, I expect to see an open game here with the hosts going for the win and Racing using their good attack to take advantage of this.
