Central Cordoba vs Independiente
CA Central Cordoba saw their six-match unbeaten streak of two victories and four draws coming to an end last Tuesday, when the team put up a good fight on their visit to Rosario Central but returned home empty-handed following a 2-0 defeat. Nevertheless, El Ferroviario are still producing a good campaign in the Liga Profesional, having grabbed 29 points in 24 matches so far to stay safe from relegation threats. Central are without defeat in their last three games as the hosting side, taking seven points from nine available in that spell.
Independiente played one of their worst games this season last Tuesday, when they succumbed to an unexpected 2-0 home defeat to Newell’s Old Boys in what could have been a heavier rout. El Rojo remain threatened by relegation: having won one, drawn one and lost two of their last four league games, they are on 25 points, just six above Huracan, who would get relegated if it was the end of the season. To make matters worse, Independiente are without a win in their last 11 away matches, drawing six and losing five in that spell.
Independiente has been terrible in general but even worse when playing away so I think they should find trouble against this Central Cordoba that has been strong at home lately.
