Central Cordoba vs Estudiantes

CA Central Cordoba showed a decent version on their visit to Gimnasia LP, when coach Omar De Felippe rotated many of his regulars. Thanks to that point, El Ferroviario made it 24 in total in the Liga Profesional after losing only one across the last 12 rounds in this competition (along with six victories and five stalemates), which keeps them five points above the bottom spot of the aggregate table. On a sorry note, Central lost 1-0 to San Lorenzo in their last home match after five unbeaten at Estadio Madre de Ciudades (winning four and drawing one). Captain Cristian Vega saw a red card at Gimnasia LP and is suspended for Sunday.

Estudiantes had to settle for a 1-1 away draw at San Lorenzo even though they played against ten men from the 74th minute last Tuesday. However, El Pincha are now on six league games unbeaten (three victories and three stalemates). Eduardo Domnguez’s men are now on 29 points in 21 rounds of Liga Profesional action, just waiting for the season to end as the defending champions have already clinched their ticket to the 2025 Copa Libertadores. Estudiantes won one, drew two and lost three of their last six games as the visiting side. Facundo Rodriguez and Santiago Ascacibar have both reached the yellow-card limit and are suspended.

Can’t see why Central Cordoba would be underdogs at home against these irregular and unmotivated Estudiantes. They’ve been quite good lately and should be able to at least avoid a defeat here.
