Central Cordoba vs Estudiantes
CA Central Cordoba were close to claiming their second consecutive success but they had to settle for a 1-1 away draw at Argentinos Juniors after conceding the equaliser in the sixth minute of stoppage time. El Ferroviario took five points from 12 on offer so far, winning one, drawing two and losing one in this tournament, which keeps them away from the bottom spots in the relegation table. Gustavo Coleoni’s men are on three matches unbeaten at Estadio Unico Madre de Ciudades, winning two and drawing one.
Last Monday, Estudiantes produced an excellent second half to trash Sarandi Arsenal 4-0 at home. Thanks to that victory, El Pincha stopped a two-game losing run in league action and made it six points in the first four rounds. That means they approached the Copa Libertadores’ spots, trailing San Lorenzo by one point in the aggregate table. Away from home, Ricardo Zielinski’s men beat Sarmiento 3-0 and lost to Newell’s Old Boys 4-2 so far.
As solid as Central Cordoba has been so far, I definitely rate this Estudiantes as a better team and they should get the win here.
