Boca vs Argentinos Jrs
Boca Juniors are now going through a difficult moment. Last weekend, the team were dominated from beginning to end and lost 2-0 away at Belgrano. That result represented their third consecutive defeat in league action. El Xeneize remain on 21 points in the Liga Profesional, which prevents them from approaching the Copa Libertadores’ zone in the aggregate rankings. As a result, coach Diego Martinez left the club. Furthermore, Boca lost 1-0 to River Plate in their last home match to break a 16-game unbeaten streak as the home side in league action, with 11 wins and five draws. Mariano Herron will take over as interim boss on Sunday.
Argentinos Juniors continue to improve under interim boss Cristian Zermatten but they still find trouble to claim victories. Last Monday, the team were unlucky to register a scoreless home stalemate against Atletico Tucuman. El Bicho claimed a single victory across their last eight league games, drawing four and losing three in that time. Accumulating 19 points in the Liga Profesional, they are still occupying one of the Copa Sudamericana spots in the aggregate table. On a sorry note, Argentinos managed just two points from the last 21 available as the visiting side without even scoring.
Boca are struggling in every possible way, but 10 of their last 12 games had at least two goals and with the need they have for a win after so many bad results, I can imagine them taking risks so this short line is definitely worth to bet on.
