Belgrano vs Sarmiento

Belgrano are finding trouble lately. Two weeks ago, the team showed a terrible version and succumbed to a 3-1 away defeat at Godoy Cruz after being dominated from beginning to end. Guillermo Farre’s men lost three of their last five league matches, winning only one and drawing one in that spell. As a result, El Pirata remain on 11 points in the Liga Profesional, still safe from potential relegation threats. Belgrano secured four points from nine on offer as the hosting side this term (all matches played at Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes as Estadio Julio Cesar Villagra is still under renovation works).
Sarmiento succumbed to their second consecutive defeat in league action last time out, when they failed to stop River Plate’s offensive power and ended up losing 2-0 at home. Having suffered three losses across their last five matches in league action (winning one and drawing one), Israel Damonte’s men remain on eight points in as many games, which places them level with Platense in the point-average table, which would lead them to a relegation playoff. Sarmiento managed five points in four away matches this term, winning one, drawing two and losing one.
It’s not exactly Belgrano’s most reliable moment but I’m going to trust them here as they will play a very poor Sarmiento that is in relegation trouble and needs to start taking risks.
