Barracas Central vs Velez
Barracas Central returned to winning ways last Tuesday, when they managed to beat Sarandi Arsenal 1-0 away thanks to a strike from Neri Bandiera in the first half. El Guapo made it five wins in a total of seven games under boss Alfredo Berti (along with two losses) to accumulate 15 points in this competition, which places them far away from the relegation spots and unexpectedly near the qualifying spots in group B, trailing fourth-placed Boca Juniors by three points.
Velez Sarsfield showed a terrible version last Wednesday and suffered a 2-1 home defeat to CA Central Cordoba, which extended their winless streak to three league matches (two draws and one defeat in that time). El Fortin continue producing an irregular campaign as they earned 11 points in as many matches so far. Furthermore, they also are on nine away matches without a win in domestic action, drawing three and losing six since winning at CA Central Cordoba 2-1 in October.
Velez are just awful this season and they have a must win Copa Libertadores game next Tuesday so Iām going with the hosts not to lose.
